Diwartakan Ubergizmo, pengumuman ini dilihat dari situs Xbox.com pada halaman support.
"Sebagai bagian dari update terbaru untuk sistem Xbox 360. Marketplace di situs Xbox.com akan ditutup pada resmi pada 22 Agustus 2013," tulis pihak Microsoft.
Meski nantinya pengguna tidak lagi bisa membeli game baru di Windows Live, mereka tetap bisa mengunduhnya melalui software klien untuk Games for Windows Live.
Menurut Microsoft, yang patut ditekankan di sini adalah hanya ketersediaan untuk pembelian game saja yang dihapus, bukan menu Game For Windows Live yang dihapus secara keseluruhan. [ikh]
