Jum'at, 19 Juli 2013 15:29:54 WIB Jakarta (beritajatim.com) - Belum menginjakkan kaki di Indonesia, kubu Chelsea sudah melayangkan protes terhadap keputusan panitia menarik bayaran untuk fans yang ingin mengikuti kegiatan The Blues di tanah air. Menurut Chelsea hal ini tidak sesuai dengan slogan Chelsea Asia Tour 2013, 'Here to Play, Here to Stay'.

Menindaklanjuti hal ini, pihak Chelsea dikabarkan mengambil tindakan dengan mengembalikan uang yang sudah dibayarkan fans. Dilansir dari Daily Mail dan Independent, panitia mengharuskan fans membayar £1.500 untuk bertemu skuad Chelsea, £460 untuk mendapatkan tanda tangan pemain dan £330 untuk mengikuti coaching clinic.
"Kami mengetahui jika sejumlah fans ditarik bayaran untuk bisa mendapatkan akses beberapa kegiatan kami di Jakarta. Kami menyadari praktek seperti ini biasa terjadi di Indonesia, tapi tidak cocok dengan filosofi tur kami 'Here to Play, Here to Stay'," ujar juru bicara Chelsea.
"Siapa pun yang membeli tiket sejumlah kegiatan itu akan mendapatkan refund, dan mendapatkan akses secara gratis," sambungnya.
Chelsea rupanya tidak setuju jika animo tinggi fans The Blues di tanah air harus dikomersilkan. Pasalnya Chelsea tidak menarik bayaran kepada fans untuk kegiatan mereka di Thailand dan Malaysia.
